With this answer Elizabeth had to be content. Had Lydia known of her conference with her father, her indignation would have known no bounds. A visit to Brighton offered every possibility of earthly happiness. She saw, with the creative eye of fancy, the streets of that bathing place lined with officers. She saw herself the chief object of attention to tens and to scores of them.
On the day she left home, the separation was more noisy than emotional. Kitty was the only one who shed tears, but she wept from envy rather than from any sense of loss. Mrs Bennet instructed her daughter to enjoy herself as much as possible, advice which there was every reason to believe would be attended to; the more gentle last words of her older sisters went unheard.

The main idea of this part is an expose of Mr. Wicham. Mr. Darcy explained in his letter the causes of actions to him. Mr. Darcy’s father paid for Mr. Wicham studying and made the church is his profession, but his life was idle and dissipated. After his father death, he moved to London and decided to study the lows but it was just a mere pretence. He had enough money but after some time he asked Mr. Darcy some more…in that case he refused him. Then he found out the way how to revenge to Mr. Darcy. He fell in love with his 16 years old sister because of her portion. She consented to an elopement with him….but Mr. Darcy prevented it. By that letter Mr. Darcy informed Elizabeth that not he guilty in Mr. Wicham’s misfortunes. Elizabeth couldn’t believe in it and she continued to read it again and again. Then she began understand her mistaken behavior. After such news Elizabeth couldn’t think about anything else. She thought that her conduct was not so right. She was full of different thoughts.

1. The first name of Mr. Darcy is Fitzwilliam. So, he is Fitzwilliam Darcy.
2. In this part we can hear the continuation of Mr. Darcy’s letter. It demolished all the others Elizabeth’s accusations. For the first time Mr. Darcy told Elizabeth the story of Mr. Wickham:
“He was a son of a very respectable man, but his father wouldn’t be able to give him good education, that’s why Mr. Darcy’s father supported Mr. Wickham at school and later in Cambridge. He hoped that he would make the church his profession. The fact that Mr. Wickham’s life was idle and dissipated could not escape the observation of Mr. Darcy because they were almost the same age. After the death of Mr. Darcy’s father, Wickham informed him that he had resolved not to take orders, he resigned all claims to assistance in the church and he was going to study law. He lived in a town, but his study the law was a mere pretence. Three years later Mr. Wickham applied to Mr. Darcy to be given a living which Mr. Darcy’s father had designed for him. Of course Mr. Darcy turned down his requests. But he was again most painfully brought to Mr. Darcy’s notice. His younger sister Georgiana met with Mr. Wickham and was persuaded to believe herself in love with him and consented to an elopement. Mr. Darcy joined them unexpectedly and Georgiana grieved the thought of offending her brother told him their plans. Mr. Wickham left that place immediately because his chief object was unquestionably Georgiana’s fortune. Also Mr. Darcy thought that the hope of revenging on him was also a strong inducement.”
It was a faithful narrative. When Elizabeth has read it, her feelings were scarcely to be defined. But she reared it with the closest attention and she had no doubt in the truth of it. She also had no scruples in slandering Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth grew absolutely ashamed of herself. When she recollected her mother’s behaviour at the ball she justice of the charge struck her too forcibly to be denied.
3. Colonel Fitzwilliam can confirm everything that I’ve written here because he is my near relation and he knows what my father wanted. That’s why Colonel Fitzwilliam also knows an every detail of this event.
Elizabeth feigned that she was upset not having met with him but actually she was glad.

A Young Lady Goes to Brighton
Track 21
1. A fortnight later Elizabeth left Hunsford. Within four hours of leaving Kent she reached Mr. Gardener’s house, where she was going to stay for a few days and then go home with Jane. One day two young ladies set out from Gracechurch Street and came at Longbourn. Their sisters were overjoyed to see them after so a long parting. Mrs. Bennet noticed that beauty of Jane was undiminished. After two weeks of their coming Mr. Bennet received a letter. It was an invitation from Mrs. Forster, the wife of the colonel whose regiment had been stationed at Meryton. It was for Lydia. She was proposed to join with Mrs. Forster at Brighton for a month. The rapture of Lydia, the delight of Mrs. Bennet and the mortification of Kitty were scarcely to be described. Lydia flew about the house in restless ecstasy. Kitty couldn’t understand why she wasn’t invited either. In vain Jane tried to make her resigned. Elizabeth was against this invitation because Lydia was an extremely silly girl the most determined flirt and she would have establish a reputation as herself as whole their family quite ridiculous. But Mr. Bennet said that Colonel Forster would keep around any real mischief. So Lydia left for her house. For a week or so Mrs. Bennet and Kitty did little more than complain of the dullness of everything around them and threw a gloom over the house. The only consolation of Elizabeth was the planned trip to the Lakes. After a first fortnight of Lydia’s absence good humour and abounded engagements began to reappear to Longbourn. Mrs. Bennet was restored to her usual serenity. The letter from Mrs. Gardener arrived. Her husband would be prevented by business from setting out for some time and he must be in London again within a month. Elizabeth was disappointed. She had set her heart on seeing the lakes. Mr. and Mrs. Gardener did at length appear at Longbourn. They stayed for a night and the next morning set off with Elizabeth. When they have seen all the principal wonders of the countryside they went their steps towards the little town of Lompton, near with which there was Pemberly. Mrs. Gardener expressed her inclination to see this place. Elizabeth was distressed. The possibility of meeting with Mr. Darcy filled her with dread. She asked a chambermaid whether the family was for the summer in Pemberly. The answer was no. Elizabeth felt a great deal and curiosity to see the house herself. So they were going to visit Pemberly.
2. When Elizabeth heard this answer she was satisfied. But if Lydia heard the conversation of Elizabeth and her father she would be very angry because Brighton seemed a paradise on the earth for her. She imagined the place which is filled by handsome officers. And they, the tens of the officers favoured her. The day when Lydia left her family was boisterous not said. Only Kitty was in tears but she cried for envy, not because of future miss of her sister. Mrs. Bennet advised Lydia to have a good time a lot and Lydia agreed with her. But she didn’t hear the parting words of her elder sisters.

The main plot of this part is a suggestion to Lydia to spend a month in Brighton. There were different and strange reactions on that news: the rapture of Lydia, the mortification of Kitty and Lizzy’s fear about Lydia behavior. Only father assured Lizzy that everything would be under control. However Lizzy didn’t think it was a good idea.
Lizzy was also disappointed by destroying her plans to visit the lakes, because of Mr. Gardiner impossibility to do it in time. Mrs. Bennet and Kitty bored Elizabeth, they were always upset and complained on the boredom.
Lizzy was upset and delight at the same time. The route of the traveling changed but a desire to travel didn’t loose her. That journey was important for her, because it could give a lot of positive emotions. Only one thing could mar her mood. Elizabeth was scared to meet Mr. Darcy. She should be satisfied with such answer. Lydia would be in anger if she understood what her father and Lizzy were discussing. That journey was the pick of her happiness. She could imagine the streets full of unknown officers and also she wanted to get attention from them. The parting day wasn’t so emotional. Only Kitty could envy to Lydia, nobody cried that she was leaving home. Her mother wished her to get fun as much as she could. It was a real advice that she would certainly fellow it.
