Chapter 9. - A young lady in tears.
1.The role of Colonel Fitzwilliam in this part.

2.The meeting of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy.
This meeting was unexpected because Mr Collins returned with two nephews of Lady Catherine. They were Mr Darcy and Colonel Fitzwilliam. The Colonel was very sociable man and Ladies liked him very much. As for Mr Darcy, he kept silent and asked Elizabeth only about her family. He was modest as usual and seemed to be displeased by meeting with Elizabeth.

1) Colonel Fitzwilliam was about 30 years old. He wasn’t very handsome, but he had a good breeding. He behaved such a real gentleman: was polite and civil. Elizabeth liked talking with him. They discussed traveling, new books and music. Colonel Fitzwilliam was very intelligent and knew a lot of exciting stories. Also this man was a direct opposite of Mr. Darcy, who was always composed and didn’t talk a lot. Also I think that Mr. Darcy was jealous Elizabeth to Fitzwilliam, and due to this character we can expect Mr. Darcy’s further actions.
2) Mr. Darcy greeted Elizabeth with composure and she nodded him without a word. During some times he was silent, but then he asked Elizabeth about the health of her family. She answered in a usual way and interested why he hadn’t met with her eldest sister in London. He was confused and gave a vague answer.
3) Elizabeth said at the most convenient pause:
- You meant to frighten me, Mr. Darcy, by coming in such a manner to hear me but I will not be alarmed.
- You could not really believe that I mean to alarm you, - replied Darcy with one of his rare smiles, - I’ve had the pleasure of your acquaintance long enough to know that you find great enjoyment to occasionally professing opinions which in fact are not your own.

- I’ve had the pleasure of your acquaintance long enough, but I thing we should delay our wedding.
- It is unwise of you to say such words, - replied she to him.
